We will be traveling to Disney World in Fl in January. I am looking for suggestions on some of the golf courses close to the area. We are going to play one of the courses on the Disney property but would like to play some others outside the resort. We are looking to stay under $100 for 18 holes but would like to play a nice course at the same time. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

If possible please include the websites of any golf courses

Give your Back a Break on the Golf Course

Are you a novice golf player that wants to take your game to the next level? Are you tired of lugging your golf bag around the course? Well, there are several options available and it really depends on how much you?re willing to spend. Golf carts and golf caddie carts come in a wide variety to help you take some weight off your shoulders and enjoy your game more.Visit to : http://golfclub-review.blogspot.com

Most golf courses can rent you a caddie or cart but that can add up especially if you plan on playing frequently. You also will feel better owning something that you can call your own and personalizing it. And let?s face it; it can also be a status thing so you can impress your golfing buddies.

Let?s start with golf carts since that is what the pro player wants. These come in a variety of sizes and options. There are gas powered ones which are better for larger courses since they don?t rely on recharging but they have a downside. Gas powered carts can be noisy and emit exhaust which can be bothersome to you and other players on the course. Most choose an electric golf cart since they are quiet and since golf courses provide charging stations. If you?re planning on doing a lot of driving then electric carts can be purchased with longer battery life.

Golf carts range in size and brand. There are reputable brands and some that are not as common but in any case most come with a warranty. If you have deep pockets and you really want something luxurious (and to impress your friends) there are even carts made by Rolls Royce and Jeep. These kinds of carts can be customized with many different options and are more for status purposes than for utilitarian purposes.

If you don?t want to invest that much money into a cart but still want something to help with lugging your equipment around the course then think about getting a caddie cart. These range in price from a very basic model at about 60 dollars to ones with many features upwards of 1000 dollars. Features vary but many are again just bells and whistles and not really to improve your game. Some come with a water dispenser which can come in handy while you?re out on the course during your golf vacations.http://golfclub-review.blogspot.com

Golf caddies and carts can be found by shopping around on line or at pro golf shops. Before you buy a cart, make sure you take it for a test drive. There is sure to be a well stocked shop if you live in a city that has several golf courses but it?ll be more challenging if you don?t. Also ask other golfers who have carts for their recommendations and check out reviews online

If you?re serious about golf and don?t want to break your back then look into purchasing a golf cart or caddie cart. It will make your game more enjoyable. http://golfclub-review.blogspot.com

If you are looking for affordable luxury living in a setting that will take your breath away, look no further; it is time you explored golf course community living in Tampa.

Enjoy a laid back lifestyle where your day might begin with a stroll to the clubhouse for breakfast, maybe playing a round of golf, and after lunch, head over to the rec center for a leisurely swim or sauna. Experience the resort in a lush setting, impeccably planned to take advantage of the natural beauty in the area.

Many golf communities are situated within a reasonable distance to larger centers, which provide a large variety of restaurants, shopping, schools, medical facilities and easy access to many cultural activities, museums and entertainment. You can relax at night, as most of these neighborhoods are gated with 24 hour security.

You don’t have to be a golfer to enjoy this type of life, but if you are, you are in for a treat. The Tampa/St. Petersburg/Clearwater area, alone, has almost 2,700 holes of golf to choose from, in the event you get bored playing the courses within your community.

Other recreational facilities are readily available and depending on the area may include swimming, tennis, volleyball, basketball courts, hiking and biking trails and horseback riding. If you’re a boater or a beach lover, rest assured as many of these resorts are located on or near Tampa’s beaches and marinas.

Here are some of Tampa’s foremost golf communities:

Tampa Palms - With close to 7,000 acres, Tampa Palms is the largest golf community in New Tampa. It also contains a multitude of recreational facilities, miles of walking and biking trails and has easy access to schools and I-75.

For the golf lovers, this community boasts the prestigious Tampa Palms Golf and country Club, along with its Arthur Hills designed golf course.

Purchase prices range from high $100,000’s upward to the millions for an estate in The Reserve. The average price in 2005 for a single family home was $452,550.

Hunter’s Green - This community is comprised of more than 1,000 acres and contains one of the area’s top golf courses. Although it is private, as a resident you are not required to join the club. With miles of walking trails and parks, the area has a very private feel, but it is close to I-75 as well as local schools.

Purchase prices range from mid $100,000’s to over $1 million.

Heritage Isles - This is a unique area, in that a public course is actually woven throughout the community. It has a well-equipped Clubhouse along with a pool, typhoon water slide, children’s area, lap pool, sand volleyball court, roller blade rink, basketball and tennis courts. Who could be bored living here?

Heritage Isles has easy access to I-75 and I-4 as well as Hillsborough County Schools.

Purchase prices range from $100,000’s to the high $700,000’s for a home right on the golf course.

Phoenix Golf Courses Part 1

Jonathan Blocker asked:

Golfing in the Phoenix sunshine makes it a suitable year-round activity for the whole family. You can book Phoenix city golf tee times easily online. You will also see offers for discount Phoenix golf, so that it will be easy for you to enjoy your favorite game often. The game of golf comes with its own jargon, and understanding a bit of that lexicon can make the game much easier to understand.

There are many specific terms for the wide variety of poor shots, for example. A chili dip happens when a golfer chips too short. A wormburner or groundhog killer is a shot when the ball is hit low across the ground, which can cause it to bounce quickly along the surface. If you want to break the rules you might do a foot wedge, when you kick your ball into a better spot. You’ll get quite embarrassed if you miss the ball entirely after you swing at it. This event can be called a whiff shot.

If you are new to the game of golf, you might hear more experienced and even professional players using some different terms. A bandit is a player who has a high handicap but plays better than you would expect. After a stroke is taken toward the green, you might hear a golfer say bit, or take a seat, meaning that they want the ball to stop or slow. Not surprisingly, a putting green can also be called the dance floor, and the rough can go by the names of jungle, brillo, or bundi. If a golfer makes a shot where the ball speeds past the hole instead of going in, they call that a taxi.

You can try out all of these useful and colorful words on any of the glorious golf courses that Phoenix has to offer. If you want a challenging day out on the course, head over to Superstition Springs Golf Club. Golfweek Magazine has named it to a list of America’s Best Golf Courses, and it offers a number of unique hazards, including water features, large bunkers, and a great deal of rolling ground, adding to both the fun and beauty of this lovely golf course. On the other hand, if Arnold Palmer is one of your golfing heroes, you will not want to miss an opportunity to play at the course that the great man himself designed, the Legend at Arrowhead. Interesting topography is featured at the Glen Lakes Golf Course. It includes pine and palm trees, with the addition of three pristine lakes, that come into play as you travel about this fabulous nine-hole executive course. All of these golf courses and more await you in Phoenix.

Golf is in serious decline. Golf courses are closing their doors in record amounts, more courses closed than opened for the last 3 years. Have any courses closed in your area?
