If I move Honolulu, are there enough golf courses to maintain a 4 hour round on the weekend?

I’m thinking of moving to Hawaii, but heard there aren’t enough public, affordable golf courses for the Hawaiian residents.

For year can tell you there are enough courses to join couple clubs and that is pricey.

The golf courses on Oahu get quite busy on the weekends (as I’m sure they do everywhere). A 4-hour round is pushing it. Ironically, your best bet would be to play Ala Wai Golf Course (located on the edge of Waikiki), which once held the distinction of being the busiest golf course in America. Ala Wai golf course is by far the fastest municipal course that I’ve played at here on Oahu, though. You probably would be able to get through in 4 and a half hours.

You could play Pali Golf Course which is about a 20 minute drive from the Waikiki area. You’d be able to finish in about 4-4.5 hours. From what I’ve heard, though, the course is in bad shape. If you don’t mind that, Pali would be your best bet.

The other munis are on the other side of the island, and those will get pretty packed. Unless you want to play a 5 hour round, I’d stay away from those Ewa courses.
