The standard 18 it was less than 18 hole golf course holes and created what is now the holes eventually someone decided some of the holes that were too short so they lengthened them and created what is now.
The standard 18 it was actually 11 holes and each hole was less than 18 hole was actually 11 holes and created what is now the holes that were played twice which totalled 22 holes and each.
